V Charity Independence Ball in Edinburgh
to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Polish School “Poloniusz”

We are delighted to announce the sale of tickets for V Charity Independence Ball in Edinburgh.

It will be a very special evening for us, bringing us together to celebrate Poland’s Regaining of Independence, as well as to mark a very special anniversary – The 10th Anniversary of the Polish School “Poloniusz”.

For 10 years, Poloniusz has worked not only to support the education of Polish children and young people in the diaspora, but also to bring the Polish community together, preserve Polish culture and traditions, and promote Poland around the world. This anniversary is therefore a wonderful opportunity to come together and celebrate these 10 years of shared work and commitment.

Guests at the Ball can look forward to a special evening featuring music by DJ Adamo, a ceremonial Polonaise led by Parzenica – Polish Folk Group, dinner and a second hot meal, appetisers, cakes, a traditional Polish table, and a charity raffle.

14 November 2026 (Saturday)
17:00–24:00
Sandy’s Community Centre, Edinburgh EH16 4DW
Ticket price: £75 per person
Ticket sales are now open!

Places are limited, so if you would like to join us, we encourage you to purchase your tickets in advance. Tickets must be purchased directly — we do not accept reservations without payment.

Tickets are available by calling:

Let this be an evening that brings us together through music, dancing, good food and shared celebration. An evening that allows us to proudly look back on 10 years of Poloniusz while also celebrating one of the most important events in Polish history.

We warmly invite you to celebrate with us and help create another beautiful chapter in our story.

See you at the Ball!

Invitation to the "Heroism in Auschwitz" Event Series
We are delighted to announce that our Triduana Club is organising a unique event series titled "Heroism in Auschwitz".

This project was created to present the extraordinary attitudes of heroes associated with the Auschwitz camp – Stanisława Leszczyńska, St. Maximilian Kolbe, and the Austrian psychiatrist Viktor Frankl.
The goal of our meetings is not only historical education but, above all, the spiritual dimension. We aim to inspire reflection on resilience, deep faith, solidarity, and helping others in any, even the most inhumane, circumstances.
The events are open to people of all nationalities – all films will be shown with English subtitles to enable all participants to fully understand and experience these moving stories. Rated 12+

Event Schedule:
September 13, 2026: A lecture by Ms. Maria Stachurska (director and great-niece of Stanisława Leszczyńska) combined with a screening of the documentary film "The Midwife" ("Położna").
October 25, 2026: A lecture by Father Piotr Szczepański (Guardian of Niepokalanów) on St. Maximilian Kolbe, combined with a screening of the documentary film "Two Crowns" ("Dwie korony").
November 15, 2026: A lecture by Dr. Anetta Ocytko (logotherapist from the Krakow Institute of Logotherapy) on Viktor Frankl, combined with a screening of the documentary film "Frankl and I" ("Frankl i ja").
We warmly invite you to attend and kindly ask you to share this invitation.

OUR PARISH – OUR SHARED VOICE!

What is working well in our parish? What could we improve, develop or begin? What kind of parish community do we want to build together?

Every parishioner is warmly invited to an Open Parish Meeting:
Saturday, 5 September, 3.00–4.30 p.m. Our N&T Parish Hall

The Parish Pastoral Council would like to hear your experiences, opinions, ideas and suggestions about every aspect of parish life. This meeting is not simply about receiving information — it is an opportunity to listen to one another and help shape the future of our parish together. Fr Piotr will begin by explaining what it means to be a synodal parish: a community whose members listen to one another, engage in genuine dialogue and share responsibility for the life and mission of the Church.
Everyone attending will have an opportunity to speak and contribute. The discussion will take place in English, with translation support. We understand that not everyone will be able to attend.
The PPC will therefore use the ideas shared during the meeting to prepare a questionnaire for all parishioners, ensuring that everyone has an opportunity to take part in this important process.

Come, listen and share your voice. Together, we are N&T Parish! Fr Piotr and the N&T Parish Pastoral Council

Two renovations and fascinating Scottish–polish stories in one book!

“God and the Human Person” is Fr Piotr’s personal gift to our parish and a special fundraising contribution towards the renovation of our church roof.

The book will help you get to know your present parish priest better: his personal journey, four decades of religious life, missionary ministry in Scotland and academic research, whose insights he shares with us — including the history of Scottish–Polish relations over the past five centuries.

It also reminds us that it is not only our church roof that needs renovation, but sometimes our personal spiritual lives as well — and that the best place to begin such a renewal of the spirit is always with ourselves!

Read it. Give it to someone special. Support our parish.
The book is available for a minimum donation of £10.
Every additional pound will provide further support for our Parish Renovation Fund. N&T Parish Pastoral Council
