“The Chattery” started their Autumn Session yesterday at The Parish Centre. They were visited by representatives of Compassion Acts who talked about their services and help they can give to the community. 😀
They also celebrated two parishioners birthdays an 80th and a 90th! 🎂🥳
The programme for speakers until Christmas was relayed to those present.🗣

It is with great sadness we share the news that our long standing parishioner Janet Basu has passed away.
Please keep Janet in your prayers and the lighting of any candles.

🎲 NEW! Sunday Games Afternoons in Formby ☕

Looking for a cosier, friendlier way to spend a Sunday afternoon? Well starting Sunday 20th September, 2:00pm – 5:00pm, we'll be hosting a brand-new monthly Games Afternoon at Our Lady of Compassion Parish Centre - and everyone's invited! 🃏

We'll bring the classics and a few others, or feel free to bring your own. No experience needed, no pressure, just a warm, welcoming space where all ages can sit down, have a laugh and make some new friends as the afternoons get darker. 🍂

📅 When: Sunday 20th September, 2:00pm – 5:00pm
(then every 3rd Sunday of the month)
📍 Where: Our Lady of Compassion Parish Centre, Church Road, Formby
☕ Refreshments: Tea, coffee, juice, teacakes & crumpets available
🎟️ Entry: Just £1 per person (under 16s must be accompanied by an adult)

So pull up a chair, grab a brew and a teacake, and let's get the games out. Bring a friend, or come alone, and maybe leave with a few new ones!
