We are very grateful to Ulverston Town Council and CGP for grants which have enabled us to purchase an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). This has been installed on the outside wall of the Ulverston Parish Church office is for community and church use.

The North West Ambulance Service are providing a free training session on Wednesday 15th July at 7pm in Church, which will teach us how to use an AED and give CPR. The training also open to members of the local community.

Spaces are limited, so please contact the church office by phoning 01229 588081 or emailing [email protected] to reserve a place. Please note that, as per North West Ambulance’s stipulation, the training is for those aged 18 and over only.

The training will be hands on and involve kneeling on the floor for several minutes at a time to carry out CPR on the resuscitation dummies, which is quite physical.
