In this video we’re looking at the Model Prayer in Matthew 6, and why it’s far more than just a pattern for prayer. It’s a revelation of the nature of God — and the relationship He offers to the believer.
In Scripture, God first revealed Himself as El, the Mighty One, and then as Yahweh, the Eternal Covenant Lord. But in Christ, the fullness of revelation comes: God is not distant, unknown, or unreachable — He is Father to all who come to Him for salvation through Jesus.
And that’s what makes the Lord’s Prayer so revolutionary. Every line reveals New Covenant access — not a religion of fear, ritual, or performance, but a relationship of sonship, intimacy, and trust.
So let’s open Matthew 6 and see what Jesus is really revealing when He teaches us to pray: “Our Father…”
