Little Hands, Big Work!
Our Cards and Spirituality Group has restarted after the summer break, and is on the look-out for a few more members.

How would YOU like to make some of these lovely cards that our little SJB parishioners have crafted? We are open to both boys and girls, so if you are in P5, 6 or 7, you’d be most welcome to join our little group on a Thursday, after school until 5.15pm. Just come along, even simply to see what we’re doing, or ask the leadership team for more details.

BOOK NIGHT WITH LOCAL AUTHOR ELISSA SOAVE, SEPTEMBER 11
Award-winning author and parishioner Elissa Soave will be discussing her work during a Q&A session in the church hall on Friday, September 11, 19.00. Elissa has written three books. Tickets on sale after all masse £10, refreshments will be served.

St. John the Baptist Parish is delighted to be running Youth Alpha for young people aged 14-18 from schools and communities across Uddingston and the wider South Lanarkshire area.

Youth Alpha will begin on Monday, 21 September, and will run from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at St. John the Baptist Parish.

Youth Alpha is a welcoming space where young people can meet others, explore questions about faith and life, share their views and discover more about Christianity in a relaxed and supportive environment.

All activities will be organised and delivered in accordance with the parish and Archdiocesan safeguarding procedures, with the safety and wellbeing of every young person as our priority

Parent/Guardian Contact

As all participants are aged 14-17, a parent or legal guardian must provide consent before the young person can take part in Youth Alpha.

Once this registration form has been submitted, a member of the St. John the Baptist Youth Alpha team will contact the parent or legal guardian using the contact details provided below to confirm consent and provide further information about the programme.

The SJB Community Cafe is open again today from 12-4. Today’s soups are Minestrone, Lentil, Chicken & Rice and Carrot & Coriander. Here is our delicious selection of cakes plus biscuits and tea/coffee.
