St Davids Cathedral The official page of St Davids Cathedral. Since the time of St David, Dewi Sant, himself in the sixth century there has been a church on this site.

For up to date visitor information, through the changes brought by the pandemic, please see the Cathedral website - https://stdavidscathedral.org.uk/visit-us. For over 1500 years prayer and worship has been offered here to God on a daily basis which we still continue. St David taught his followers to ‘be joyful, to keep the faith and to do the little things which you have seen in me’. In this Cathedral we strive to keep the faith which Jesus Christ and his apostles taught and to be joyful in our expression of the gospel message to the hundreds of thousands of visitors and pilgrims who come to this Cathedral every year. I hope this page will show you some of the little things we do day by day to honour God and St David who founded this Cathedral. The Very Reverend Dr Sarah Rowland Jones
Dean of St Davids

⛪ A new chapter for St Davids Cathedral! Pennod newydd i Eglwys Gadeiriol Tyddewi!

Following his installation as Dean of St Davids Cathedral on Saturday, the Venerable Paul Mackness has set out his vision for the future of this magnificent and historic place of worship.

❤️ With "Welcoming All" at the heart of his vision, Paul wants to build on the Cathedral's rich heritage, strengthening its role as a centre of worship, pilgrimage, education and community life.

While acknowledging the challenges of safeguarding this iconic building for future generations, the new Dean is looking ahead with faith, determination and optimism.

💬 "We need to be positive about the future and work together to bring it about."

🙏 We warmly congratulate Paul on his installation and look forward to supporting him in this exciting new chapter of his ministry.

The Commemoration of All Souls is fast approaching when we set aside time to remember those we have loved and lost a while: There will be a special Choral Requiem Mass (Fauré) at 6pm, sung by the cathedral’s voluntary choir, the St.Andrew’s Voices, when the names of loved ones will be read aloud during the service and there will be an opportunity to light a candle. If you would like a name remembered at the service and can’t make it to the cathedral to write their name on the list, please feel free to DM us via socials.
