St Davids Cathedral

St Davids Cathedral The official page of St Davids Cathedral. Since the time of St David, Dewi Sant, himself in the sixth century there has been a church on this site.

For up to date visitor information, through the changes brought by the pandemic, please see the Cathedral website - https://stdavidscathedral.org.uk/visit-us. For over 1500 years prayer and worship has been offered here to God on a daily basis which we still continue. St David taught his followers to ‘be joyful, to keep the faith and to do the little things which you have seen in me’. In this Cath

edral we strive to keep the faith which Jesus Christ and his apostles taught and to be joyful in our expression of the gospel message to the hundreds of thousands of visitors and pilgrims who come to this Cathedral every year. I hope this page will show you some of the little things we do day by day to honour God and St David who founded this Cathedral. The Very Reverend Dr Sarah Rowland Jones
Dean of St Davids

The Friends of St Davids Cathedral are hosting two exciting events in the coming weeks!

On Friday 11th September at 7.00pm, join 4 piece vocal group Ensemble Stinan in the Cathedral for a programme entitled 'songs of love and loss'. The four singers, Abi, Chris, Lawrence and Ben are professional singers in our Cathedral Choir, and are excited to be returning to sing at the cathedral in their ensemble which first performed here in 2023.

On Saturday 19th September at 7.00pm, Welsh rugby legend Sir Gerald Davies is holding a Q&A evening at Ty'r Pererin on Quickwell Hill. This is a rare opportunity to hear from one of Wales' finest players from the golden age of Welsh rugby. Croeso i bawb!

Tickets for the concert and the talk are £15 per event, and can be found on our website or using the links below. All income goes toward supporting the Friends, an incredible charity that supports the work of the cathedral is so many ways.

Rydyn ni’n edrych ymlaen at groesawu Ali pan fydd hi’n cyrraedd yr Eglwys Gadeiriol ddydd Gwener, ychydig cyn Gosber.

We’re looking forward to welcoming Ali as she arrives at the cathedral on Friday just before Evensong.

🚶‍♀️ And she’s off!

This morning, the Revd Canon Ali Reeves sets out from Ammanford on a five-day, 75-mile pilgrimage to St Davids Cathedral.

Walking solo and unsupported, Ali is raising funds for All Saints Church, Ammanford, and Ammanford Foodbank, while also taking time for prayer and reflection along the way.

We’ll be cheering her on as she makes her way across west Wales towards St Davids! 🙌

Pob lwc, Ali! 👏 you can follow her progress on her page The Rambling Reverend 🥾
