The Riverside Singers is a friendly, mixed community choir singing an eclectic mix of music including contemporary, world, country and gospel. Our musical director is Sophia Halling, whose enthusiasm is infectious. There is no need to be able to read music, as our learning is by ear. There are no auditions. In recent years the choir has sung at a variety of beautiful locations around Cornwall incl
uding Truro Cathedral, Tregothnan Estate and the Eden Project, but also smaller venues. We meet on Tuesday evenings 7.15 - 8.45pm during school terms at Carnon Downs Methodist Church. We currently pay £40 for 10 weeks in advance. New members are always welcome and the first taster session is free. There is always time for some tea and a chat after practice and we hold occasional social events too. We are taking precautions for Covid in this large, airy church with generous spacing.
