At the Christmas party today we offered books telling the Christmas story and Nativity decorations to anyone who wanted them, as well as star biscuits for the children (and some adults!) and festive tiffin for the team!
A good time was had by all!

Jean and Ruth enjoyed talking to the children at West Ashton school this morning in their whole school assembly. They told the story of Christmas using pass the parcel where each layer is wrapped in paper which tells part of the story e.g. new baby (which was very hard to find this time of year!). The children really engaged with it, despite not getting any prizes!

Christmas is coming!

Alison and Ruth donned their Christmas jumpers and had a lovely time at Castle Mead School assembly today, telling the children how Christians prepare for celebrating the birth of Jesus.

They took along the Kingfisher Church Advent wreath and explained how the candles are lit week by week, until Christmas Day. The five candles represent hope, faith, joy, peace, and finally, Jesus.

Come along and join us Carol Singing at The Red Admiral at 12.30pm on Sunday 17th December. 🙂 🎄
