Great read if you are developing with spirit. We never stop developing!
One of the most important understandings in mediumship development…
is that Spirit does not work with every medium in exactly the same way.
Communication filters through the individual.
Through their awareness.
Their sensitivity.
Their emotions.
Their mind.
Their senses.
Their physical body.
This is why knowing yourself becomes such an important part of development.
Because the more you understand your own internal landscape, the easier it becomes to recognise how Spirit is impressing communication upon you.
For some, communication may first be noticed through feeling.
An emotion.
A change in atmosphere.
A sense of the communicator’s personality or relationship.
For others, it may come through the mind.
A thought.
A word.
A memory.
A picture.
A sudden knowing.
For some, it may be heard inwardly.
A phrase.
A name.
A tone.
A rhythm of speech.
For others, it may register through the body.
A sensation.
A pressure.
A shift in breathing.
A feeling through the nervous system.
A subtle awareness held within the physicality of the medium.
This is why development is not simply about asking, “How does Spirit communicate?”
It is also about asking, “How do I become aware of communication within myself?”
Because Spirit may be impressing the communication clearly… but the medium must learn how that impression is being received, recognised, and understood.
This takes time.
It takes observation.
It takes honesty.
It takes awareness of how we react emotionally, mentally, physically, and sensitively.
Without this self-understanding, a medium can easily overlook what is already happening within them.
They may dismiss a feeling.
Question a thought.
Ignore a physical sensation… or fail to recognise the subtle movement of awareness that Spirit is using.
This is something we place great importance upon within development.
Because the clearer the medium becomes about themselves, the clearer they can become about the communication.
Mediumship is not about copying how another person works.
It is about understanding how Spirit works through you.
Your sensitivity.
Your awareness.
Your inner language.
Your way of receiving… and as that understanding grows, the communication often becomes more natural, more accurate, and more deeply connected.
Because the pathway is no longer being forced.
It is being understood.
