Good morning everyone.
We hope you feel refreshed after a peaceful weekend.

The Methodist Church prayer of the day ~

Loving God, we give you thanks that we can always turn to you in prayer and know that you love us and listen to us. Whether praying with the words of others, with words of our own, or simply being with you in silence, we know that you hear us.

Help us to come to you with our joys and thanksgiving. But help us too to bring our sorrows and concerns and the needs of our neighbours, for nothing is too large or too small to share with you. So may we make prayer a part of our lives.

Good night everyone.
Here’s a lovely blessing for you from Niteblessings

Autumn’s approach brings a sense of letting go, allowing things that are ending to come to a natural close. As you open your hands to change, may you be given grace to see beauty in what has been, freedom in releasing it and possibility in what comes next

Good morning everyone.
We hope your day is calm and peaceful.

The Methodist Church prayer of the day ~

Faithful God, thank you for the light that never fails even in seasons of darkness.
You know all that we carry, especially the moments when hope feels thin,
yet you continually meet us with gentleness and love.
Where relationships are strained, bring healing.
Where hearts are weary, breathe strength.
Where joy has faded, spark it back to life.
Help us notice the quiet gifts in each day – the people who stand with us, the love that shapes us, the grace that restores us.
May gratitude rise within us, and may we journey forwards held by your enduring love

Goodnight everyone.
Here’s a lovely blessing for you from Niteblessings

May you mark your journey. Take time to build a cairn that reminds you of victories you have been given, battles you have fought and lessons you have learned. May you remember how far you have come, so that you can journey on in faith, courage, grace and hope.

As we prepare for our theme tomorrow | What kind of God?
Exodus 32:1-14

Moses has spent over a month with God on Mount Sinai; the Israelites fear something has happened to him and decide they want a different god. Aaron asks them to bring the gold they had plundered from the Egyptians, which they melt and form into a golden calf – a new god to bow down to and worship. God is angry, but Moses appeals to God’s promises and honour, resulting in God showing mercy to the Israelites.

Today we think about the types of things we might idolise in our lives and how we can remember how amazing God is, putting God back at the centre.

Good morning everyone.
We hope you have a great start to the weekend.

The Methodist Church prayer of the day ~

Lord God Almighty,
You are the one who sees me in both my sorrow and my joy.
You know the quiet ache and the unspoken hurt
that tries to dim the light within me.
Where sorrow has weighed me down, lift me.
Where disappointment has dulled my vision, restore me.
Let your light break forth in my life like morning after a long night.
Lord, shine on every place where I feel tired, uncertain or discouraged.
Let your joy return to me – steady, gentle and renewing.
Because your glory has come,
I choose to rise.
I choose to shine – not by my own power,
but by your Spirit working in me.

Here’s a lovely blessing for you from Niteblessings

In every shadow of apprehension, may you find the steady light of Christ’s peaceful presence. May his shalom quiet your fears, his strength steady your steps, and his love hold what feels uncertain. Rest tonight knowing you are carried, calmed and covered.

Goodnight everyone.
Here’s a lovely blessing for you from Niteblessings

To follow Christ is to carry a cross. Whatever you face, may God give you grace to bear the burden. We are not promised that everything will be easy, but we are promised that we are never alone. May you remember the Cross that Jesus bore for you. No turning back.
