“When the Pharisees saw this, they said to his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?” But when he heard this, he said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.”

Happy Pentecost Sunday 🔥

What a day to launch a new begining. WE ARE NOW ON INSTAGRAM. We aren't moving away from Facebook so don't worry. We are doing both. Go and like and follow.

Keep an eye out over the coming weeks and months as we share some of what we get up to in our parish, as we seek to share the love of Jesus with our community.

Below are some snippets from today’s service, where we spread Pentecost-coloured ribbons around the church and decorated birthday cupcakes to mark this celebration in the church calendar.

Today is Pentecost Sunday. But what actually is it.

Pentecost is a major Christian festival that takes place on the 50th day after Easter. Known as the "Birthday of the Church," it celebrates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles.
According to the New Testament, while the followers of Jesus were gathered together, a sound like a mighty wind filled the room and "tongues of fire" appeared, resting on each of them. Filled with the Holy Spirit, they were granted the ability to speak in different languages, allowing them to preach to the diverse crowds of pilgrims visiting Jerusalem. Our service today will look into this further. Come along at 11am to find out more. You'll be very welcome.
