A fabulous concert this lunchtime by the Sponne School Students as part of Towcester MidSummer Music Festival at St Lawrence Church.

Next event is 5-7pm today when children from Towcester CE Primary School, Nicholas Hawksmoor Primary School, Marie Weller Primary School & Towcester NMPAT will be performing.

The whole weekend raises funds for Towcester Town Mayor local charities which this year at the PTAs of the three local primary schools. PTAs raise funds to provide the added extras which help our schools flourish and enable children and young people to thrive both in and beyond the classroom.

On Monday children from year 4&5 Greens Norton CE Primary School came to St Bartholomew's Church where we explored together what communion is.

Through a series of reflection stations, they discovered the meaning behind different parts of the service and reflected on themes of welcome, forgiveness, thanksgiving and belonging.

It was a joy to share the afternoon with them and hear their thoughtful questions and ideas.

Rehearsals were underway this week for Open the Book. In a few weeks time when we will be going into Nicholas Hawksmoor Primary School to share with them the story of the four friends.

A great team of volunteers, with much laughter & fun!!!!

We have already this term taken this story into our church schools of Greens Norton CE Primary School & Towcester CE Primary School where the children really enjoyed taking part.

🎶🍓 Hymns & Pimm's in the Vicarage Garden 🍓🎶

As part of this year's Towcester Midsummer Music Festival, why not join us for a relaxed afternoon of favourite hymns, good company and a glass of Pimm's (or a soft drink) in the Vicarage Garden.

Bring a blanket (chairs will be provide), raise your voice in song, and enjoy a traditional summer gathering as we celebrate music, community and friendship together.
