Today in Hope Kids in Trebanog we looked at the next part of the Lord's Prayer - 'Your Will Be Done.'

Our natural instinct is to want OUR WILL to be done. We want to do things OUR way. Because we think our way is better.

In our lesson we played a game where we imagined what we would do if we were king for the day. Every person shared what one thing they would do - we had; ice cream delivered every day. People to make us whatever we wanted to eat. Chocolate on tap. Every pokemon card in the world sent to us. ✌️

And the truth us our will is often quite selfish, and not always what's best for us.

But God's will, God's way, is loving. It's generous. It's kind. It's forgiving. It's compassionate. It's selfless.

And so in the Lord's prayer Jesus encourages His followers to pray that God's will be done on earth, just as it is in heaven, because if we lived HIS way, it would make this world a much better place to live. 🌍

His way IS better. 🙌

A week ago some of our ladies went to the Cariad conference in Cardiff! 🥳

We had such a good time! 🙌

Tonight, at 7pm we gather together again, at our building in Tonypandy for our monthly women's gathering 'The Meeting Place'.

Because Church is more than just a 'Sunday thing'. Jesus' followers met together DAILY.

They were devoted to hearing God's word taught, to being together, to praying, to sharing in a communion meal.

Why? Because Jesus had changed their lives. 🙌 And they wanted to gather with others who's lives He'd changed too. Learning together, growing together, encouraged together, challenged together, praying together, worshipping together.

That's why we gather regularly. Because Jesus HAS and IS changing our lives. And when we come together, we spur each other on to live our lives for Him. 🙌

In Hope Kids Trebanog, we've been learning the Lord's prayer. 🙏

The Lord's prayer is something many of us learned as kids, probably in school. But have you ever thought about the words?

In today's lesson we learned what it means to pray 'Your Kingdom Come.'

When we pray 'Your Kingdom Come.' we're asking God to bring HIS kingdom to earth.

Today we talked about what we think God's kingdom is like - it's loving, it's peaceful, it's good, it's lovely, and it's free of hurt, pain, sadness, sickness and sin.

How good would it be to live in a kingdom like that?!

Christians believe that one day God's kingdom will come! 🙌

But for now, when we pray 'your kingdom come' WE become part of the solution. WE become part of the answer to that prayer, because we get to bring His kingdom to earth through the way that we live! God builds His kingdom through us, His people, as we love, forgive, help, serve, and bring joy and peace everywhere we go! 🙌🩷
