St John the Baptist, Tideswell

St John the Baptist, Tideswell St John the Baptist Church, known as the Cathedral of the Peak, has stood at the heart of the Peak District village of Tideswell since the 14th Century.

Our historic building has been home to a lively and creative Christian Community since the 14th Century and still is to this day! Our church is in the Diocese of Derby and part of the Church of England, working closely with other churches in the area. Tideswell Parish includes churches in Litton, Cressbrook, Millers Dale and Wormhill. Find out more from our website, including details of services and other events.

You can go on this pilgrimage - using the guide provided - or you might like to try a guided pilgrimage- these can be offered by Faye Smith from HopeWalking - https://hopewalking.co.uk/
If you would like to ensure that all 4 churches are open on the day you choose to walk then do please get in touch and we will do our best to ensure this can happen.
There are also pilgrim journals that you can take with you which can also be collected from St Johns Tideswell 🥰
and there's even a badge..... once you've completed the walk...
