Trusting Jesus and Walking in His Love
Nothing is greater than God.He alone knows the whole story of our lives.Even when we cannot see what lies ahead,we are blessed when we trust His wisdom and follow the path He has prepared for us.
So trust the Lord,and trust His Word.Whatever we think or do in our limited understanding,God knows what is best for us and when we need it.As Scripture says,“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5–6).
When we draw close to Jesus Christ and live by His teaching,the things this world promises can never satisfy us as He does.We may spend our lives chasing after many things and find ourselves weary. Why not set aside even five quiet minutes each day to speak with Jesus? He knows us more deeply than anyone else,understands what we need,and invites us to bring our hearts to Him.
Through Jesus Christ,our Heavenly Father strengthens us,gives us courage,and brings light into our lives.We cannot earn our way to God by doing good deeds.We are saved by God’s grace through faith not by our own efforts.And when we receive His love, it inspires us to love and serve others.“We love because he first loved us” (1 John 4:19 see also Ephesians 2:8–10).
When we help someone and they thank us,we may feel happy.But if they later become angry or ungrateful,that happiness can fade.Let us do good,then,not to earn praise or God’s favour,but because we have received God’s grace and want to share Christ’s love.The good we do is a response to His love,not a way to buy it.
I was once a sinner,lost in the darkness of this world,but Jesus Christ rescued me.All glory belongs to Him alone.
So come let us walk in the love of Jesus,trusting that God knows us,cares for us,and will fulfil His good purposes in His way and in His time.”Your word is a lamp for my feet,a light on my path” (Psalm 119:105).
