What a blessed evening on Thursday.
Grace summed it up beautifully;

From my Beacon ‘mentors’, I learnt that ……..

1. God is the prayer answering God WHO KEEPS HIS PROMISES. His promises in Christ Jesus are yes and amen.

2. Like the faithful father that He is, God answers our prayer requests according to His perfect will for us. Sometimes His perfect will removes us from the storms of life, granting us respite from the storm- during which time He strengthens and restores us and, returns us back into the storm. In such cases, His grace is sufficient for us.

3. When we encounter grief in this life (which we will), He is our very present help in the grief and through the grief and, He does restore the joy of our salvation through it all.

4. God orders our steps throughout life’s journeys and it is His grace that reveals this truth to us. The realisation of this great truth fills our hearts with gratitude, gratitude for His presence in us and with us.

5. Sometimes when we pray and present our petitions before God, He may lead us away from stressful and stormy places unto still waters and green pastures. Here too, His grace is still sufficient for us.

As the Word for Today daily devotional puts it; ‘The right mentor can make you, and the wrong mentor can break you’.
Well, I was certainly ‘Made’ by the end of that long day, refreshed and encouraged 🙌🏼🤸🏼‍♀️🤝🙏🏼.
