It was great to celebrate our lovely David's 50+ years' service as bandsman today in our Sunday meeting. He started in 1969 at Ipswich Christian Mission (an offshoot of the Salvation Army), was then at Felixstowe, and 5 years ago we welcomed him and his lovely wife Mariola to Thetford Corps. Friday 9th September - our hall will be open for quiet prayer and reflection from 10am to 12 noon. We join with the whole nation in mourning the loss of our beloved Queen Elizabeth II, giving thanks for her life and remarkable service as she is promoted to glory. Our shop and coffee lounge will be closed today.

We are celebrating the life of Thetford Salvation Army's longest serving member, our lovely Dolly Knights who served and worshipped at this Corps for nearly 95 years having first been brought here by her father at the age of 5. One of the country’s longest-serving Salvationists, Dorothy Knights, who dedicated more than 95 years to the Salvation Army, has died.
