Theale Parish Council - Community Events Organised by Theale Parish Council, these events aim to bring Theale's Community together If you are interested in being part of the event, please get in touch!

Theale Village Fete aims to bring the community of Theale together whilst helping to raise awareness and funds for local community groups and charities. Taking place on Sunday 25th June on Theale Recreation Ground (just behind the Village Hall - postcode RG7 5AS), the event is being organised by Theale Parish Council. There will be lots of fun and attractions on offer including funfair rides, traditional games, produce & art competitions, and arena displays!

And that's a wrap folks! Thank you to everyone who made today's village fete possible! We reallt couldn't do it without the amazing support of local residents, volunteers and businesses including Kutchenhaus Reading Berkshire Youth Football League Cotswold Fayre Ltd and Arlington Park Reading

Winners of the Grand Raffle, the silent auction and the various community games will be notified this week.

Its the big day!!! Come on down to the recreation ground from 12 noon and join in all the fun at Theale Village Fete, sponsored by Berkshire Youth Football League!!!

We have a fun packed day planned including:

Kids Fairground Rides from Royal Leisure Fairs and Inflatables from Galaxy Bounce - Bouncy Castle Hire
Grand Raffle with prizes courtesy of Arlington Park Reading. Kutchenhaus Reading & Cotswold Fayre
Silent Auction for heritage Live concert tickets at Englefield Estate, courtesy of Cooper Entertainment
Competitions for Photography, Art, Crafts, and Baking, sponsored by Kutchenhaus Reading competitions
Dog Show sponsored by Ruff and Rumble Dog Walking and Pet Care
Arena Displays including JG Dance, C&M Gymnastics and CT Martial Arts
Community Games, including lucky dip, nerf gun shootout, coconut shy, skittles and welly throwing!

Join in all the fun of the fete and help fundraise for local community groups and charities.

Here is the arena schedule for today's village fete. Some adjustments may need to be made in case of showers.

We are keeping a very close eye on the weather forecast ahead of tomorrow's village fete. Hopefully the weather will be kind to us and assuming it is safe to do so, we still plan to go ahead. 🤞

Our staff and volunteers have been working incredibly hard in the days and weeks leading up to the event . We may have to amend the arena timetable but should we have a few showers, there is still lots to do in the dry, including:

• Live music tent featuring performances from local bands
• Grab a beer in the social club or a cuppa & cake in the refreshments marquee
• Arts, crafts photography and baking in the competition marquee
• Grand Raffle tickets and silent auction bids in the information marquee
• Junior community games marquee with lots of fun for the children
• VIP (Very Important Pets) marquee for dogs with fun activities and prizes

We hope to see you from 12 noon on Theale Recreation Ground!

Calling all crafty residents in the village, enter our craft competition at Theale Village Fete. Taking place tomorrow, Sunday 7th July, at Theale Recreation Ground, please ensure your entries are in the competition tent by 12.15!

Each category will be split into 3 age bands - Yr 6 and under, Yrs 7-13, 18 and over.

The categories are:
Knitting, Crochet and Yarn
Sewing and needlework (Tapestry, Cross-stitch, Quilting)
Papercraft (Quilling, Origami, Decoupage and Cards)
Floristry and Floral Displays

We're excited to see your creations! Entry forms can be downloaded from the events section on Theale Parish Council's web site (www.thealeparishcouncil.gov.uk). Printed copies will also be available in the competition tent.

Judging starts from 12.30pm, with the winners announced in the arena at 4.15pm.

There is also lots more entertainment on offer including arena displays, art, photography and baking competitions, dog show, independent traders, charity stalls, kids fairground rides, community games, Grand Raffle and our Silent Auction for the Heritage Live concert tickets!
