Just delightful to meet Caroline this evening who was visiting the church.
After evening prayer I was reminded of how John Keble’s Hail gladdening light is so beautiful. A translation of the ancient Phos Hilaron, or, Lamp-Lighting hymn. Nice when someone you met only some minutes earlier agrees to sing a hymn with you 🙂 thank you Caroline 🙏. Forgive us Lord for a slightly wobbly 🎶 rendition, but we enjoyed singing together.

As shoes for your feet put on whatever will make you ready to proclaim the gospel of peace. Ephesians 6:15

I appreciated the nudge from the vicar of All Saints' Church, Hertford to spend time with Ephesians 6:10-24, yesterday 🙂 And this morning, laced up my shoes to be ready to proclaim the gospel of peace.
Put on your feet whatever will make you ready!
Deo gratias, thanks be to God.
