05/09/2026
Aslamoalikum everyone,
We are pleased to share an update regarding our Friday (Jummah) prayers.
Insha’Allah, to accommodate our growing community, we will be using the New Hall for most of our Friday prayers moving forward at the Wheatpieces Community centre.
Please note: On a few specific dates (given below):
16th October 2026 (Room 1)
6th November 2026 (Room 1)
20th November 2026 (Room 1)
4th December 2026 (Room 1)
the new hall is unavailable, so we will temporarily move to Room 1, where overall space will be significantly limited.
We warmly welcome our sisters to join us for Jummah prayers but please take note of the following venue arrangements:
In the New Hall: Sisters are very welcome to attend. As we do not currently have a partition/screen, prayer space will be set up in the back row of the hall until we acquire a divider.
Mutual Respect: While we work on getting a partition, mutual respect remains of the utmost importance. Please be mindful and respectful of everyone, especially our sisters. Once prayer finishes, if the ladies finish first, please step aside to let them exit the hall first.
In Room 1 (16 Oct, 6 Nov, 20 Nov, 4 Dec): Due to strict space constraints in this smaller room, there will unfortunately be no space available for sisters on these four specific dates. We sincerely apologise to our sisters for the inconvenience on those select dates as we navigate these venue limitations.
Important Reminders & Etiquette:
Punctuality: Doors will close strictly at 13:30. Please arrive early to ensure entry.
Khutbah Respect: Once the Khutbah has started, please refrain from using mobile phones or chatting.
Conversations: If you need to speak to someone, whether in person or on your phone, please step outside the hall/room to do so.
Main Hall Fridays (Shoes): Please remove shoes inside at the back of the hall; do not leave them outside in the main passage.
Room 1 Fridays (Shoes): Please line up shoes neatly against the hallway wall outside the room, making sure not to block emergency pathways.
Parking Information:
On-site parking is available for approx 30 cars on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please note that attendees park entirely at their own risk. Tewkesbury Islamic Society takes no responsibility for vehicles or parking fines, particularly if vehicles are parked in disabled bays (without a badge) or awkward spaces that block access.
Lastly but not least: Please keep an eye on our website and social media channels for all future updates and announcements.
Thank you all for your understanding, patience and continued support.
