Russian Orthodox Church in Telford- ROCOR We belong to ROCOR - the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia. Our community is made up of Russians, British, Ukrainians, Greeks and Romanians.

The Divine Liturgy is served on every Sunday and Vespers on the first Saturday of each month at 6pm.

On Holy Friday the Vespers service begins at 3pm.
We will be building and decorating the tomb from 1-30pm. Donation of flowers will be most welcome.
After our Pascha service, we will have a little shared food. The fast will be over, so meat and dairy dishes are permitted.
Let us remain focussed and watchful as we pray during this last period of Holy Week.

Blessing our palm leaves on Palm Sunday.
There will be time for confessions before the Monday evening service (Bridegroom Matins) and Tuesday morning (Vesperal Liturgy for the feast of the Annunciation).

Today we had many reasons to celebrate.
On the Sunday of the Adoration of the Cross, we also celebrated the feast of our patron, Saint Chad.
During the feast after the Divine Liturgy, we were blessed to be joined by the Serbian bishop. of the newly established Serbian Orthodox Eparchy of Great Britain and Ireland, Bishop Nektarije.

7th March - 6pm Vespers
8th March - 10-45am Divine Liturgy - St Gregory Palamas
15th March - 10-45am - Veneration of the Cross and the feast of St Chad (followed by shared lunch)
22nd March - 10-45am Divine Liturgy
5th April - 10-44am Divine Liturgy - Palm Sunday
6th April - 6pm Great Monday Vespers
7th April - 10-45am Divine Liturgy - The Annunciation
10th April 3pm - Burial Service (Vespers) - Great and Holy Friday
11th April - 10-30pm -Pascha
Please note: confessions will be heard from 10am before each Liturgy and from 2pm on Great and Holy Friday. Please make your confessions before Sat 11th.
As the feast of St Chad falls on 15th March, we will share in appropriate fasting food, but still celebrate our holy patron.

Christ is Born!
Happy Christmas to everyone.
We met to share in a vesperal Liturgy which was followed by a party in the hall. Thank you to our singers, and to everyone who not only brought so much amazing food, but everyone who braved the ice and snow to share in this great event.
We not only ended the fast with lovely food, but shared in some Russian, Ukrainian and even English carols.

Divine Liturgy each Sunday at 10-45am. Confessions begin around 10am.
6th Jan - Vesperal Liturgy for the Nativity of our Lord, 6-30pm.
19th Jan - Divine Liturgy and blessing of water at 10-45am (bring a bottle to take water home).
