We’re pleased to share this fantastic community event from the organisers at Telford Repair Café 👇

Bring along your broken household items and see if they can be repaired by skilled volunteers – helping you save money and reduce waste 🌍

🧸 Toys, clothes, small electricals and more
🚫 (Please note: no petrol-powered items, air fryers, or microwaves)

📅 Saturday 30th May
⏰ 10am – 2pm (repairs before 12pm please)
📍 Salvation Army, Oakengates

There will also be:
☕ A coffee morning hosted by The Salvation Army
♻️ A Terracycle drop-off point

A great opportunity to give your items a second life and support a greener community 💚

This weekend we are looking forward to a great experience of music, with the visit of Worcester Songsters to Oakengates, Telford.

If you are a fan of Eurovision, there will be plenty of time to get home after the 'Celebration Concert' on tonights evening which starts at 6:00 pm.
TV coverage doesn't start until 8:00 pm and the UK entry is number 14 out of 25!

So, please come along and enjoy 'live' music with the Worcester Songsters, the Oakengates Band and the 'Come and sing' choir, who will be rehearsing on Saturday afternoon.

If you haven't signed up to 'Come and Sing', you will still be welcome - arrive at 1:30 pm to register, pick up your music and join in.

On Sunday 17th, the Worcester Songsters will be leading our morning worship at 10:00 am.

The Alpha Course is a series of free sessions designed to explore the basics of the Christian faith in a relaxed, open environment. It's open to anyone, regardless of their background or beliefs, and encourages discussion and question-asking about life, faith, and God.

The Salvation Army Halls at Oakengates truly reflect the life and diversity of the borough of Telford and Wrekin.

Each week, hundreds of people come through its doors to connect, worship, belong, and thrive across a wide range of activities.

A vibrant hub for Christian worship and faith exploration, alongside essential community services supporting the vulnerable, children, young people, senior citizens, self‑help groups, local organisations. Sharing life’s varying emotions of sadness to joy, laughter, fun and hope.There are relaxed coffee mornings, inspiring concerts and community gatherings, and so much more happening.

Music has a featured place at the heart of the Halls activities. Throughout the week, people of all ages come together to rehearse and participate in music making, whether through youth singing, brass playing, or our adult choir, all building confidence, creativity, and a joyous community.

Come and discover all that the Salvation Army Halls at Oakengates have to offer. You don’t have to wear a uniform, or dress up, just come as you are, casual and comfortable.

Easy to find and welcoming to all, we are located at the gateway to Oakengates, alongside Charlton Medical Centre and Oakengates Railway Station.
