We are excited to announce that the September edition of “Let’s Talk About It” is coming up!

This month, we will be discussing the important and inspiring topic:
KINGDOM CHILDREN – LIVING FOR GOD.

What does it mean to live for God as a child? How can we show God’s love, obey His Word, make godly choices, and live as examples to others?

Join us for an engaging time of Bible teaching, meaningful discussions, questions, and honest conversations as we encourage our children and young people to understand their identity as Kingdom children and learn how to live for God every day.

Saturday, 12th September 2026
4:00 PM – 5:00 PM (UK Time)
Platform: Zoom
For children, youths, teenagers and pre-teens.

Parents, please encourage your children to join and participate. Let us continue to raise a generation that knows God, loves God, and lives for God!

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousnes and all these things shall be added to you” – Matthew 6:33

Abide in Christ — Our Greatest Need

Scripture:

“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.” - John 15:4

Beloved,

Jesus describes Himself as the True Vine, the Father as the Gardener, and us as the branches. A branch has one essential requirement: it must remain connected to the vine. Once disconnected, it cannot produce fruit because it is separated from its source of life.

In the same way, we cannot live a fruitful Christian life apart from Christ. Jesus said, “For without me ye can do nothing” (John 15:5). Our greatest need is therefore not more ability, success, possessions or position. Our greatest need is Christ Himself.

Without Christ, humanity is spiritually dead. Sin separates us from God, and Ephesians 2:1 describes those outside Christ as being “dead in trespasses and sins.” A person may be educated, successful, wealthy, religious or respected and yet remain spiritually dead. True life is found only in Jesus, for “he that hath the Son hath life” (1 John 5:12).

Without Christ, humanity is also under the dominion of sin and darkness. Jesus said, “Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin” (John 8:34). But Christ came to deliver us from the power of darkness and bring us into His kingdom (Colossians 1:13). He came “that he might destroy the works of the devil” (1 John 3:8) and set captives free.

Without Christ, there is also the reality of eternal judgment. This life is temporary, but eternity is forever. Jesus said, “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life” (John 3:36). Salvation is therefore not something to take casually. The most important question is not simply, “How will I live in this world?” but “Where will I spend eternity?”

This is why we must abide in Christ. We need Him not merely for what He can give us, but because He is our life, our source and our salvation.

Today, examine your relationship with Jesus. Are you truly abiding in Him, or have you become dependent on your own strength and ability? The branch cannot survive by itself. Neither can we.

May God help us to recognise our complete dependence on Him and forgive us for every attempt to live independently of Him.

May we never lose sight of our greatest need - Christ Himself in Jesus' Name, Amen.
