Our church tower and porch / vestry roof restoration will be starting soon...but our Place of Welcome will continue every Saturday 11am-1pm whilst the work is ongoing. As well as being a Place of Welcome, we're also a Warm Welcome Space - but you're sure of a cool welcome during the summer as the church walls are so thick it stays quite cool inside! So come along for a chat with friends and neighbours and have a free tea / coffee / cake / biscuits at the same time (or a cool drink!). Remember we also have our Book Swap in the porch of the church.

Thanks to everyone who came and helped at the Buildwas Fete today - weather was kind to us and we had lots of great stalls and activities and gorgeous dogs in our Dog Show! Look forward to seeing you all again next year.

Can anyone help? Our church tower and porch / vestry roof restoration project work will be starting in the 2nd or 3rd week of July and will last ~8 weeks. During this time, our church will remain open to visitors and our weekly Place of Welcome on Saturdays and church services on Sundays will continue. As part of the work, the ceiling above our gallery will need to be removed, as it's being replaced with a new one - this is likely to generate a lot of dust, which could damage our pipe organ. Does anyone have any large dust sheets they could lend us for the duration of the work to cover our pews and organ, to save us having to buy them (and also save us having to do a deep clean at the end of the restoration work)? We'll be taking up the aisle carpet. We do have some sheets already, and some large plastic sheeting, but it's a large area we need to cover (see mock photo attached to give you an idea!).

We were pleased to welcome visitors from a Fijian church to our Place of Welcome this morning - fascinating to talk about the similarities and differences between our churches.
