Would you like to explore some more of the Bible, with a short reading series you can access at any time?
Today is the beginning of Lent, and this year we are offering a weekly, 10-minute reading for you to use at home. We're going to use this season to explore one of the books of the prophets- Amos.
Amos lived about 3000 years ago, but there is much we can learn and apply to modern life, through the messages from this shepherd and farmer who lived in the Middle East. Centuries before Jesus, his messages point us to God's plan to reconnect with us and bring us fullness of life.
If you'd like to receive the weekly article by email, send a private message to Helen Fry through Facebook or Instagram, email [email protected], or text 07772 436516.

It was a privilege to be part of Tedburn Primary School’s Christingle service today! It’s one of my favourite parts of my role as a Community Connections Worker, especially working alongside our lovely team of people who present the assembly.

Thankyou to the school for welcoming us in to school- we look forward to being back in the New Year with more bible story assemblies for the children.

As we said in the assembly today, may the good news of Christmas bring light and joy and comfort to everyone who reads this.
Helen and the ‘Open the Book’ assembly team

Two things happening at the Methodist Church this coming Sunday (26th). We also have our usual service starting at 10:30am too, led by Karenza Cordery, on the theme of 'Light'- something we all want more of at this time of year! 🍂☔️
When Karenza's not taking services in churches across our part of Devon, she's a Mum, a member of staff at a local primary school and wild swimmer.
We'll be sharing coffee and home-baked cakes from 11:30, with voluntary donations for Children's Hospice SW. You're welcome to come along to this whether or not you have been to the service.
Children up to 12 are invited to join in with activities in the Methodist Hall while the main service is on - see the blue poster for info.

We had a lot of fun on Saturday evening, with lots of people of all ages enjoying the music, dancing and some delicious food 🙂 I wish i could share some photos but I haven't got everyone's permission, so you'll just have to use your imagination!
We have raised around £400 in cash donations, which will all go to Christians Against Poverty- you can find out more about their wonderful work here
www.capuk.org
This was a great way to celebrate Harvest with our community locally, and also to spread some love more widely with the fundraising, so thankyou again for your support.
Helen, Community Connections Worker, Tedburn Methodist Church

Starting the 26 th of October. Everyone welcome. See the poster for details.

Benjy, the church tent mascot at Tedburn Fair, has asked us to thank everyone who came along to say hi to him on Saturday! He loved meeting everyone (as did his human assistants). Thankyou Tedburn St Mary Fair for hosting a lovely day.
