Lisieux Way Community Garden A community garden set up by Arc (formally the Taunton Association for the Homeless) & Somerset Wildlife Trust.

The Lisieux Way Community Garden was created by the clients of Taunton Association for the Homeless (TAH), a local charitable organisation supporting and accommodating homeless individuals. Following the success of a different gardening project, where clients transformed an unused and overgrown space into a thriving garden with vegetable patches and polytunnels, the TAH decided to get stuck into a

nother green space! They were approached by the Lisieux Way Methodist Church, who have a large garden that had been left unattended and had become very overgrown. They decided that they would turn this great green space into a beautiful community garden, for everyone to be able to use! The TAH joined up with Somerset Wildlife Trust on the project and for the past few years the Wildlife Trust have been leading sessions at the garden. The garden is now being run by a dedicated team of volunteers and new volunteers are always welcome to join in. Sessions are being held on the first Wednesday of each month from 10 - 1. There is no need to book but we will observe the need for social distancing and please bring your own drinks, snacks, lunch etc. If you have an questions around the sessions at the garden please email Susan on [email protected]

We will be at the community garden on Wednesday 4/2/26 when the weather is set to be glorious. Please join us from 9.30am to w**d, tidy and set the garden up for spring. All welcome.

🌱Snowdrop Valley opens this Saturday 24th January and will run daily until Sunday 22nd February!

🚙Parking is at the Cutcombe Cattle Market (TA24 7DT) car park, the charge is £5.00 per car, this includes a map to the valley. Kiosk is open 9am-4pm.

☔️Please be aware, we’ve experienced (and are continuing to experience!) a very wet winter, the paths are muddy and suitable sturdy footwear is essential.

It’s that time of year again! Two days of strimming with a very rude thunderstorm interruption yesterday. All removed to the recycling depot. Looking tidy for the autumn.
The garden is very much alive with busy insects. The cabbage white and tortoiseshell butterflies are still enjoying the buddleia, and the recent rain has seen a burst of life in some perennial plants but the pond needs more!
