Our Advent Trail with Dotty the donkey has now come to an end, which must mean that Christmas Day has finally arrived! ⭐🥰

Thank you so much to all those of you who have supported our trail this year, through volunteering to display and light our story and directional posters, visiting and following Dotty's journey around our village, and liking and sharing our Facebook posts. You have all been brilliant and truly appreciated.

Now, on behalf of our parish churches at Creech, Ruishton and Thornfalcon, may we wish you a wonderfully merry Christmas and a joyful and peaceful new year. As we remember and give thanks for the much-needed love, joy, peace and hope that this baby in a manger has brought us, (and using this year's secret puzzle phrase, if you've worked it out)... 'Let's share the light of hope this year' with those around us and beyond. God bless and thanks again 🥰 ###

24th December: Well done for finding Dotty's twelfth and final poster! Thanks to the owner of this beautiful home and to all of our other volunteers who have been kindly displaying Dotty's posters for us throughout Advent. Thanks too to you all for journeying along the trail with us. As Dotty says, if you are able to, please do join us to hear more about the wonderful message of Christmas and prepare our hearts for the big day at our Ruishton Crib Service this evening at 6pm. ⭐ ###

22nd December: What a fantastic idea... Our eleventh (and penultimate) poster has been brilliantly positioned on a festive and twinkly tree in our village! It's almost impossible to miss, so keep searching as the wise men did, and you'll then only have one more poster to find! ⭐ ###

Even if you haven't managed to collect our special trail booklet this year, you can still work out our code puzzle virtually. Have a look through the photos of the posters, as displayed around Ruishton, that have been posted here since the beginning of December, and see if you can spot the alphabet letters in yellow stars. Add each letter to the spaces with the corresponding poster number and they will spell out a phrase that we can take forward with us beyond Christmas and into 2024. ⭐ ###

20th December: What an absolutely stunning window to accompany our tenth poster! The heavenly angels shine so beautifully and brightly as they sing their good news... and Dotty also has her own good news for our trail... You may have noticed alphabet letters in stars appearing in Dotty's posters on display around our village (for example, the letter on this poster is 'Y')... If you aren't journeying around Ruishton with our trail booklet, you can still use these letters to complete this year's special message. Just look out for Dotty's puzzle on our page in the next couple of days, and slot the right letters into the right spaces (referring to the previous posts and photos) to solve it virtually. ⭐ ###

18th December: Our ninth poster is being shone upon by a wonderfully bright star - at the time of the Nativity, this was taken to be the sign that a very special baby had been born. See if you can do as the wise men were doing, and spot it as you follow Dotty's trail around Ruishton. ⭐ ###
