It's with great sadness that we have to share the news that Mr Jim McElroy (Late of Knockview Drive, and Ballymore Park) died suddenly yesterday morning. Jim and his late wife wife, Gladys, were well respected and loved within the church. Jim was also known in the wider community through his connection to Tandragee Rovers FC. Our thoughts and our prayers go out to Jim's daughter, Emeline, to his son, John, and to all the whole family circle.

There will be a Service of Thanksgiving for Jim McElroy's life in his home that is located at 44 Ballymore Park (directly opposite Tandragee JHS) on Wednesday 25th February at 11am. This will be immediately followed by a committal in Tandragee Presbyterian Church Graveyard at 11.30am. A tea will then be served in the Church Hall, located adjacent to the Graveyard, after the committal.

Over the next couple of days if anyone wishes to call with the family at 44 Ballymore Park, family members will be gathered there from 12 noon onwards.

John 14: 6 & 27 ✝️🙏

6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

27 "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

It has come to our attention that a black Audi Q4 which was parked (stationary/unoccupied) in our church car park last night (Tuesday 17th February) has been damaged by another car (at sometime between 7.20-8.40pm). It appears from the damage caused to the Audi that it has been struck by a red car. Sadly, it seems that someone has decided to drive off rather than take responsibility for causing the damage.

If you know anything about this incident we would appreciate if you would get in touch with us so the situation can be put right. Please do the right thing as the Audi owner will be very happy to hear from you. Many thanks.

It's with bittersweetness that we have to share the news that Robert Hunter has been called home to be with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Robert was a very humble servant hearted Christian man, who was full of much life and fun. He was well known in the Tandragee area for walking the roads, and for a long association with Tandragee Golf Club.

A Service of Thanksgiving for Robert's life will be held on Monday 9th February at 2pm in Tandragee Presbyterian Church.

Please remember Robert's daughter Deborah, her husband Alex, and the wider family as they mourn the loss of a very special man.

He will be greatly missed by his beloved family, church family, and his many friends.

2 Corinthians 5:8 -" We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord." ✝️🙏

A reading plan for us all this January ❄️📖

Presbyterian Women - January Reading Challenge 1st January 2026

💜Welcome to 2026! We want to wish you a very Happy New Year! Let’s start the new year studying God’s Word together💜📖.

Rebecca McConnell ( INSPIRE Editor) introduces this month’s reading challenge:

'We are delighted to introduce the fourth Presbyterian Women January Reading Challenge to kick start the New Year. We pray this study will help us as, with God’s grace, we enter 2026 together focused on God’s Word.

Our theme verse for God … ever present is found in Psalm 46:1, so we have decided to spend time in one of the Bible’s most beloved and comforting books, the Psalms. We have laid out a plan to read and reflect on different Psalms over the 31 days of January. They are not in order, so keep an eye on the planner to direct you. Each Psalm has been chosen as it contains reminders of the presence of God. The selection also highlights themes like God's nearness, his guidance, comfort, protection, and the joy of being in his presence.

Psalms is one of only two Old Testament books to identify itself as a composite work containing multiple authors - Proverbs, which we studied in our first ever January Reading Challenge, is the other. Some psalms name their author in the first line or title, for example, Moses wrote Psalm 90. David was responsible for many of them, composing seventy-three psalms.

The book of Psalms expresses worship. Throughout its many pages, Psalms encourages its readers to praise God for who he is and what he has done. You may like to extend your quiet time by finding the Psalm you are studying that day as a song on YouTube or Spotify, and either listening or singing along to it.

For days when there are shorter Psalms, why not read it over more than once and try to recite a key verse or two off by heart so you can bring them to mind when you are driving, walking or out shopping. You could also write out a verse on a post it note and leave somewhere prominent in your home or car to be a daily reminder of God’s presence with you.

We are grateful to Alison Soye Alison Soye Illustration for producing the beautiful illustration of the stained-glass window to keep us on track as we navigate our time in the Psalms.'
