Dear friends in Christ and colleagues in mission,

I warmly invite all lay and ordained Christians across the Wolverhampton Episcopal Area to join in prayer for mission and revival. In these demanding days, it is vital that we immerse ourselves in prayer, because mission without prayer becomes an effort in our own strength, whereas revival is always the gracious work of God’s Spirit. If we long to see lives changed, churches renewed, and communities reached with the gospel, prayer must be our priority, not our afterthought.

Please make prayer a priority in your personal devotions, in your churches, and at your gatherings. I hope to see you at our prayer meetings.
“Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?” (Psalm 85:6)

With every blessing,
Tim

Advent Sunday 2025 saw our combined service for the Peel Parishes which also included the Baptism of our newest Church Family member, Ryan Thompson. This is his testimony:

"I’m in love with Jesus Christ he was there for me when I had nothing I was a broken boy when I found him… I prayed for him to take the pain in my life away and in 1 month he gave me a place I could call home… in 2 months he gave me a job that paid generously and even then I didn’t realise it was him all the things he did for me in such a short time and I was still blind… so I got my hands on a bible.

I read and the more I did the more everything made sense I finally had my blinkers off and could see the whole picture. It was there I fell in love with Christ I said how wrong I was your incredible and suddenly this feeling inside me lit up like a lightbulb I felt alive again… I could feel his presence so clearly like a hand on my shoulder telling me he’s proud and it’s going to be okay this outpouring of gratitude came from me I dropped to floor and apologise for being foolish and not seeing before I asked him for forgiveness and he gave it…

I see the man he wants me to be now I have my identity in Christ he gave me a life he gave me purpose he gave me a family. he has took away any possible doubt he has finally brought me home and it’s never been so good… and when I look back I see the echoes from my past he’s always been there just waiting and while it’s impossible for me to stand here and list the countless blessings he’s done in my life I can tell you… he is the way, he is the truth and he is the life. He is my lord and saviour Jesus Christ the king of kings"

By the end of the service there was not a dry eye in the house! All those who could stay on after the service did so to welcome him personally and very warmly into the fellowship of faith. It was a service that will live long in the memories of all who were witnesses of this beautiful baptism into Christ. Ryan - congratulations and a warm welcome to the church family that meets at St Paul's, Fazeley. Rev Sue Rowley
