Tamworth Christadelphians

Tamworth Christadelphians A Bible believing group of people basing our lives on God's word and the teachings of Jesus His son. We would love to share Gods message of hope with you.

We meet every Sunday morning at Dordon Village Hall at 11am. This is our 'memorial' service ... where we get together to remember Jesus' sacrifice for us in the breaking of bread and wine. We also have a Bible based talk given by various speakers to get us in the right frame of mind. We also have a fun and inclusive Sunday school at 9.15am before the main service, every Sunday in term time. Durin

g the week we get together on a Tuesday evening either on Zoom or at one of our houses to read the Bible together, discuss it and spend time together (please get in contact if you want to know where we are on any date)

We are a very friendly and welcoming bunch so please come and join us or send us a message on here if you have any questions, queries, comments etc.

Our young people had a lovely morning planting part of their prizes of a fruit tree or bush for each class. The prize giving 2 weeks ago was on the theme was on being Rooted in Christ and it was lovely for them to work together, dig and put them in the ground.
A huge thank you to Susan Betteridge, Will and self sufficient children for the opportunity they had to dig, w**d, be outside and see all the lovely work you have done with the plot. Thank you.

He is risen.

Easter Sunday reminds us:

The Cross was not the end. The empty tomb proved it.
Jesus conquered every struggle… even death itself.

His resurrection tells us:
No burden is too heavy.
No darkness is too deep.
No ending is final with Him.

Because He lives, we carry hope.
Because He lives, we walk in peace.

“He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.” Matthew 28:6

This morning our hall was bursting for our Sunday school prize giving. We thought about how the disciples were asked to spread the gospel to the ends of the earth, to make spiritual ripples. The children young and old made literal ripples dropping pebbles into water. We considered how we can communicate the gospel, how we personally can make spiritual ripples and touch people's lives and how we should give credit to God and Jesus for those acts we are doing so that people know that our love and kind acts are because of them.

Thoughts to ponder.
How might we make ripples in someone's life?
How does our passion for what Jesus has done for us get shown to others in our every day lives?
What is our motivation for our actions?
Do we regularly give credit to God and Jesus to others?

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations Matthew 28 vs 19

This morning we thought about fellowship.
Its dictionary meaning is people who share the same interest or aim.

We share fellowship with God and Jesus and it is only because of our fellowship with them do we have fellowship with each other.

It's like a bicycle wheel with all the spokes going into the middle of the wheel and the hub, with God and Jesus being the centre that holds everything together. Jesus makes the union and fellowship with God possible. It is what holds us together. Our common aim and interest.

Despite our fellowship with each other at times we might loose sight of the importance of the purpose of our fellowship. The whole point of our fellowship with each other is to strengthen our relationship with God. Our relationship with God is what helps us and supports us.

The Lord himself goes before you.
God is telling us, I am in fellowship with you, therefore you don't need to worry. You are not on your own.

To emphasise, our fellowship with each other should be to strengthen our fellowship with God. God wants a relationship with us. That is what he set out at the beginning. This morning we met to remember what Jesus did in his death in perfecting the union that we can have with God.

We know about needing to have an 'in case of emergency ' numbers in our phone. But have you ever heard about God's emergency number 333. Jeremiah 33:3 NIV
'Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’
