St Margaret's Parish Church

St Margaret's Parish Church We are a beautiful local parish church set in the heart of Swinton, Rotherham. We welcome people to add photographs of our Church to this page.

There has been a church in Swinton since the 12th century. Worship is offered every day in St Margaret's, giving praise to the one true God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. You will find a friendly worshipping community who seek to serve the Lord in their daily lives. Our worship is in the Catholic tradition of the Church of England, and we extend a warm welcome to everyone. Our main Sunday Eucharist

is at 10.00am, with the Acorns group for children and tea and coffee served afterwards. During the week mass is offered in the Lady Chapel at 10am. We hope that you will come to visit and worship with us - you will be made very welcome.

This afternoon we were entertained by our wonderful organist, Chris Viney who was celebrating 30 years as a church organist having played for his first church service at the tender age of ten.
Chris chose a marvellous programme of classic and contemporary organ music to include everyone’s favourites.
All the best celebrations include delicious cakes and this was no exception with a beautiful cake made in Chris’ honour by our church warden, Carol.
Thank you Chris for a wonderful afternoon and to all who came and joined in the celebration. ☀️🎶🎹

At Mass this morning we celebrated the start of Mary’s month of May when remembered Mary, the mother of our Lord Jesus and we gave thanks for the love and care of our mothers.
The crowning of our new May Queen played a significant part in our service where Olivia was welcomed and crowned by Aria, our outgoing May Queen. 👑🌸
