The Church of the Holy Rood (Church of England) exists to serve all in the local community. We are located on Moorside Road, on the south side of the East Lancashire Road, in Swinton. A wide range of activities for all ages are held throughout the week in Moorside Memorial Hall, next to the church. Our church is open and inclusive in its approach, visitors and newcomers are always welcome. In addi

tion to the regular service times listed we also hold an 8 o'clock service on the first and third Sunday of every month.

We are now in the season of Lent, which started on Ash Wednesday 18th February with a joint sung service at St Mary's Church, Ellenbrook.

Lent lasts for 40 days.

There will be World Day of Prayer services at All Saints' Church, Wardley at 2pm and Monton Methodist Church at 7pm -Friday 6th March.

The focus of the services will be The Women of Nigeria.
