Yesterday, across our benefice, we held a day of prayer to offer prayers for our future as we approach a new season in the life of the parishes of West Swindon & Lydiard Tregoze. Later this year, we will go into a period of vacancy. In the lead up to that time, and during it, we will be offering monthly prayer activities alongside our regular daily prayers to pray for this new season. More details will be published soon.

It is with great sadness that we announce our dear friend and colleague, the Revd Trevor Day, passed away at his home on the morning of 12th February, peacefully and free from pain.

We give thanks for Trevor and for the impact he had on so many peoples’ lives, for his sense of humour, strength, kindness, encouragement and his strong faith.

Please pray for Coby, Tom, Anneke, Edalia and the wider family, the congregations of St Mary’s, Lydiard Tregoze and Holy Trinity Shaw and all who mourn his loss. He will be sorely missed by so many people.

Well done, good and faithful servant. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.
