This Thursday at 3pm, the Friends of Christ Church welcome you to the Annual Lecture: The Holy Rood Rescue Project, taking place at Christ Church.

We’ll be focusing on the urgent and important work being done to preserve Holy Rood on the Lawn, often described as the “heart and soul of Swindon”, following recent distressing acts of vandalism.

We are honoured to be joined by Claudia Suckling, Director of the Wiltshire Historic Buildings Trust, who will share expert insight into the rescue project and the vital steps being taken to restore and protect this much-loved local landmark for future generations.

2026 is the 25th anniversary of the formation of The Wessex. And amazingly, these four gentlemen have been with the choir right from the very start. We realise that they don't look old enough, but it's true! Huge congratulations to Kevin Trowbridge, Grahame Jones, Mike Barratt and Mike Greenland for their staying power and hope you all continue to enjoy The Wessex for years to come.

If you would like to hear these four wonderful people singing with The Wessex, then please come to our Anniversary Concert on Saturday 27th June at Christ Church, Old Town, Swindon.
