Finding time for yourself as a parent can feel impossible ...

Every leaf tells a story, and every word of encouragement can brighten someone's day.

We’re proud to collaborate with Swindon and Gloucestershire Mind to bring our Tree of Hope to life in honor of World Su***de Prevention Day.

Starting today, you'll find our Tree of Hope displayed in the community centre lobby right through until Sunday, 13th September.

We invite you to stop by, take a moment, and write a message of hope, kindness, or support on a leaf to add to the display. Whether it's a quote that keeps you going, a reminder to a stranger that they aren't alone, or a message of remembrance, your words can help us build a visible display of compassion and togetherness for our community.

How to join in:

Visit the community centre lobby between now and Sunday, 13th September.

Pick up a paper leaf, write your message of encouragement or support, and attach it to the tree.

Take a picture of your leaf and share it online to spread the light further.

Together, we can show that support is always within reach. Let’s grow something beautiful together. 💚

🚶‍♀️🚴‍♂️ RIDE & STRIDE – NEXT SATURDAY! 🚶‍♂️🚴‍♀️

Join us on Saturday 12 September for Ride & Stride 2026 – a great way to get out and about while helping to preserve our historic churches. ⛪

We’d love more people to join the Christ Church team! There are two group walks to choose from:

🕚 11.00am – Parish Churches Walk
Starting at Immanuel URC, Upham Road
Approximately 40 minutes, with an optional return to Immanuel.

🕒 3.00pm – Shorter Walk
Starting at Immanuel URC, Upham Road
Approximately 30 minutes, again with an optional return.

You can also plan your own route by visiting participating churches across the area.

💙 Every pound raised makes a difference – half of everything raised by our parish comes directly back to support our local historic churches.

Come Join Us for our Men's Fellowship Breakfast this Saturday morning with special guest speaker, Jeff Tucker from Best Mates

7.30am optional Morning Prayer in Christ Church.

8am breakfast and talk in the meeting room at the Community Centre for one hour often with a guest speaker.

Each first Saturday of the month, a group meets for a full English breakfast, a good talk and conversation.

Jeff Tucker will be our guest speaker and he will be telling us about the Best Mates , a charity he founded and runs to help people through tough times
