Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sister Hasina Naqshabndi, beloved mother of Yasin, Bilal and Sharifa Watson, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

May Allah (SWT) forgive her shortcomings, grant her the highest place in Jannatul Firdaus, and bless her grave with light and peace. May He also grant sabr, strength, and comfort to her family and loved ones during this difficult time.

Sister Hasina was a remarkable lady—always cheerful, kind-hearted, and dedicated to helping others. She devoted much of her time to charitable work in Africa and touched the lives of many through her generosity, compassion, and unwavering commitment to serving those in need.

Janazah details will be announced as soon as they become available.

Please remember Sister Hasina and her family in your duas. May Allah (SWT) reward her for her good deeds and reunite her with her loved ones in Jannah.

Ahmad Nawaz Khan
It is with great sadness that the Muslim community of Swindon announces the passing of Ahmad Nawaz Khan, a respected and much-loved figure whose lifelong dedication helped shape and strengthen the local community.

Mr Khan was a central pillar of the Muslim community since his arrival in Swindon in the 1960s. His vision and commitment led to the founding of the Thamesdown Islamic Association, one of the earliest Islamic associations in the United Kingdom. He later played a key role in establishing and developing the Al Habib Islamic Centre, leaving a lasting legacy that continues to benefit generations.

Throughout his life, Mr Khan worked tirelessly to represent, support, and develop the community. His contributions extended well beyond faith-based initiatives. He gave his time generously to organisations such as the Race Equality Council and the Swindon Interfaith Group, demonstrating a deep commitment to unity, understanding, and social cohesion.
Known for his compassion and selflessness, Mr Khan provided guidance and support to countless families and individuals facing a wide range of challenges. His deeply rooted faith was reflected in his gentle conduct, humility, and unwavering kindness.

Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, whose warmth and generosity touched all who knew him. His loss will be felt profoundly across the community and beyond.
Details of the funeral arrangements are available through the Al Habib Islamic Centre.
