What would our community be without its church? Not just the building, but the heart of it. Does the church connect with you? Does it matter to you?

The place where generations have gathered to celebrate new life, make lifelong promises, say goodbye to loved ones, find comfort in difficult times, and discover friendship, faith, and belonging.

Our church is more than stone and stained glass. It is part of our story. It is a beacon of hope, a place of welcome, and a home for our community. But churches do not stay alive simply because they have always been there. They remain vibrant because people choose to make them so.

Imagine what our church could become: a thriving centre of worship, community, hospitality, music, support, and service. A place filled with life throughout the week. A place where children, families, neighbours, and future generations know they belong.

That future is not someone else's responsibility. It belongs to all of us. So today, we're asking: What does this church mean to you? What would our community lose if it closed? What can each of us do to keep it open, thriving, and full of life?

Whether through worship, volunteering, fundraising, attending events, sharing ideas, or simply showing up, every person can help write the next chapter.

Let's not simply preserve a building. Let's reimagine its future. Let's renew its purpose. Let's ensure that the doors remain open, the lights remain on, and the heart of our community continues to beat strongly for generations to come.

Take a deep breath.

Whatever the grades say, remember this: you have done your best. The numbers on a page can reflect an exam result, but they can never measure your worth, your character, your courage, or your potential.

Celebrate your achievements, be proud of your hard work, and if things haven't gone quite as you hoped, know that one set of results does not define your future. There are always opportunities, different paths, and new beginnings.

Today, be kind to yourself. You've come this far, and that's something to be proud of. 💙

Reflecting tonight on the needs of our communities and I began reading Galatians.

"As we have opportunity, let us do good to all people." (Galatians 6:10)

What if the opportunities to do good are not the grand moments we keep waiting for, but the ordinary moments we keep overlooking?

The kind word we never spoke. The forgiveness we never offered. The call we never made. The stranger we never noticed.

Perhaps the greatest tragedy is not the evil we encounter, but the good we were able to do and chose to postpone.

Today, someone may have needed from you what only you could have given.

Don't underestimate the power of a single act of goodness.

Today, many people are connected online yet feel invisible in real life. Acts 3:1-10 reminds us that changing a life often starts with a simple act: stopping, noticing, and caring. Before the miracle, Peter looked at the man everyone else walked past. Maybe the world's greatest need today isn't more technology, but more people willing to truly see one another. Who might God be asking you to notice today?

Matthew 14:22-33 reminds us: The storm didn't sink Peter. Fear did. The moment he focused more on the waves than on Jesus, he began to fall. In a world full of anxiety, outrage, and uncertainty, the challenge is the same: Don't let the storm have your full attention. Faith isn't pretending the waves aren't real. It's deciding they won't have the final word.
