Swansea Quaker, Emma Roberts, has visited “Come to Good” Meeting in Truro, Cornwall and proposed a new theory on the origin of the unusual name.

Would any Quaker meeting across the world like to twin and get to know our Community? Perhaps a Worship Sharing online call to begin with?
(Small town, coastal, 30 - 40 worshippers, unprogrammed Liberal meeting, we are Welsh so we do a little more singing than most.)
There is such a lot to share amongst different Quaker traditions worldwide.

Another evening of Quakers talking about their faith journey and why they come to Quaker meetings, at 7pm.

Swansea Quakers hosted a Peace Vigil in their Meeting House garden on Saturday, 11th April. 25 gathered from across church communities in Swansea, including 8 Quakers, to make a silent plea for peace. We received positive support from passers-by, including applause and car horn tooting most frequently."

We had some valued visitors today taking some photographs of the meeting space before people arrived- in that expectant hush- and also some portraits of some us Quakers afterwards as we waited for our shared lunch.
On this Easter Sunday, ministry was on themes of beauty, acceptance, suffering and hope.

Quakers experimenting with new style of worship in a Silent Disco this weekend.
