Fantastic September session for Craft Church ✂️🖍️🎶📖

Stories, music and activities based around Noah and the Ark 🌈 We made rainbow spirals, animal finger puppets and an Ark collage.

Next session will be 9.30am on the 4th October and the story will be Jonah an the Whale 🐳

Do come along, crèche toys for little ones and tea/coffee for the grownups 😊

Did you get an August/September copy of the Link Magazine? It seems we were inundated with collections in August and the usual stock in The Link entrance has gone - bit of a mystery!

On Sunday we celebrated International Songs of Praise 🎶🌎🫶

Stories from this years sporting events reminded us that there still is unity, diversity, inclusion, integrity and a sense of destiny in our ever complex world. ⚽️🏅🎾

We prayed for the world, our nation and community 🙏 with songs of praise and readings that brought together the reflections of the service.

‘He’s got the whole world in His hand….’🎶

Wonderful to welcome Swanmore Primary Year 6 into church for their leavers service. A special chance to look back on the happy memories made with classmates and celebrate the achievements of the final year at Swanmore C of E Primary School. We wish you all every success as you take the next step along the path ✨🙌

As you go on your way remember there is always space for you here at St Barnabas 🫶 The hand cross, book mark and pen gifted are reminders of how special you are to God, and how much He loves you in every situation 🕊️

Yesterday all ages enjoyed a lively service celebrating faith as Bishop of Portsmouth Rt Revd Dr Jonathan Frost , welcomed and baptised our latest members Ben and Danny ✝️💧🕯️

Cafe Church came into its own with coffee, lots of laughter and table talk around the three steps of baptism. We also took time to recognise the British citizenship recently awarded to Liana, wishing her and her family much happiness here in Swanmore 🇬🇧💐

This Sunday the Methodists are holding an outdoor service at Swanmore Primary at 10.15am in support of Action For Children and The Children’s Society, to which we are all warmly invited. There will also be the usual 10am Holy Communion at St Barnabas.

After both services we plan to all meet in the Paterson Centre for coffee and fellowship ☕️🌤️🫶⛪️

Perfect weekend for an outdoor service, bring a hat! 😎🙏

Thank you to everyone that supported Mission Sunday and especially the Missions Team for putting us on this path.

Also thanks to the three charities that gave their time to come and speak with us Home-Start Hampshire Prison Fellowship and St George Foundation

The stories, experiences and perspectives you shared brought to life how our donation makes a difference to families, young people and those suffering due to poverty, illness and oppression 🙏🌏🫶

As Revd Sandra said at the close, ‘the Lord has a heart of abundance for the poor, the sick and the prisoner in life. His ear is turned to them and so we hear from charities like these doing their work with such passion and commitment.’
