Inviting you to Café Church on Sunday 21st June where we will be celebrating Fathers Day! 🤸🎉

We will be thinking about both our heavenly Father and our earthly fathers, or father figures that have been there for us growing up.

Café Church is our informal worship meeting in the Paterson Centre just before 10am on every third Sunday of the month. Tea, coffee and pastries on arrival - Juice, fruit and yogurts if you prefer a healthier option! 🍈🍉🍐🍊

We have craft activities for our younger members and being Fathers Day we will be making up goodie bags to give to our Dads or to those we look up to in our lives 😍

It’s been a special two weeks! ✨

This year the Deanery Ascension Day service on the 14th May was held at St Barnabas. The evening brought together people from all the MVP benefices, Bishops Waltham and Wickham to celebrate the ascension of Jesus Christ into heaven with music, choir and much laughter after the service 🎶⛪️🫶

Today, Whit Sunday brought us to Pentecost 🕊️, the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles, when we pray for renewal, transformation - and remember the birth of the Church.

After the service we enjoyed birthday cake with coffee. Check out 👀 Wendy’s progress on the knitting challenge for Christian Aid - 200 hearts for those joining this years November thanks giving service to remember a loved one.

Great day for our first Swanmore Open Gardens weekend of 2026 🌤️🌱

Stop in to the Paterson Centre for tickets and plant sales. Tea & cake is being served until 5.30pm ☕️🍰. We’ll be back for day two tomorrow 1-5pm, with a different collection of gardens 🏡👩‍🌾

Money raised will go to both Rowans Hospice and St Barnabas Church. Rowans Hospice provide palliative and end of life care to those living with a life-limiting illness in the Southeast of Hampshire.
