Candle Wax for Ukraine - Ukraine still needs our support. Candle wax is being collected from local churches and communities to create cooking candles (“trench candles”) and candles for villages without electricity. Please donate candles ends, candle wax, and unwanted candles in the box in St Mary’s Church porch, from where it will be taken to a Ukraine support group.

So having announced our exciting list of visiting choral directors for 2026, we are delighted and excited to be welcoming Dr Barry Rose OBE back to St Mary's to lead another "Come and Sing" evensong on Sunday 11th January - our first of 2026! Barry is one of the UK's most distinguished choral conductors, having formed the choir at Guildford Cathedral as well as being Master of the Choir at St Paul's Cathedral and Organist and Director of Music at St Alban's Cathedral. Barry still travels extensively sharing his great skills with so many. This is an opportunity not to be missed! We rehearse at 4pm, have refreshments at 5.45pm and Evensong is at 6.30pm. All music and refreshment provided free of charge. Music to include Walmisley in D Minor, Ayleward Responses and Bethlehem Down - Warlock.
