What at beautiful morning at Atherstone Farmers & Artisan Craft Market ! Feels like a proper autumn day. And I do like my new tablecloths…it’s the little things 😆

Looking forward to this weekend, on Saturday we are at Atherstone Farmers & Artisan Craft Market . A few people have asked if we can bring our bigger jars of honey to farmer's markets - so this weekend we are doing exactly that! We will have 1lb (454g) jars of our Leicestershire Runny and Soft Set honey this time, as well as our normal 8oz (227g) speciality honeys - Newtown Linford, Mountsorrel and Chilli.

We'll also have our gift sets and pure beeswax candles for those who are starting to think about Christmas!

Morning all! No rest for the beekeeper it seems, we are at Ashby Farmers & Artisan Market this morning and the sun is making steady progress from behind the clouds 😁

12/09/2026

Well, that's a wrap! Final honey harvest complete and all the bees treated for varroa and put to bed; the end of our summer beekeeping. We move on to Autumn stuff now, we have hive stands to replace and enhance and a few colonies to move around - so a few late nights are on the horizon over the next couple of weeks.

Then general other cleaning and sorting and then we are off on our holidays...can't wait!!

A lovely spot this morning at Quorn Food and Craft Trail we are up at the top near the hall this time. All ready to go, just time for a coffee and a cheese twist - it’s magic being to close to the food trucks this year!
