We'll be praying for everyone taking part in the Fun Run tomorrow!

Due to the Fun Run, there is no service at SCURC as the Church will be open to provide a 'bag drop' and toilet facilities for those taking part in, and supporting the Fun Run.

There will be a pre-recorded online service https://scurc.online.church/ or, as it's the fifth Sunday of the month, there is a joint service with Wylde Green, Erdington and Pype Hayes at Wylde Green URC at 11am for (weather permitting) an outdoor service on the church field. It will be followed by a picnic lunch - please bring food, the folk at Wylde Green will provide tea, coffee, and cake.

If you're looking for a way to explore your faith, whether you're new here or looking for a deeper connection, then our book club is for you!

Our next meeting is Thursday 11 June at 11am to discuss 'Seeing Jesus' by Jeffery McClain Jones. The story focuses on a man who dreads nothing more than being alone.

Buy your own copy, or ask Rev'd David to order one for you (payment will be required). Or if you prefer an audiobook, some services offer access to the book for free.

We would love for you join us!

Yesterday Becky, our Cafe Oasis Chef/Kitchen Manager and good friend to many within our congregation, left us after, (can you believe it?) twelve years! We will miss not just her cooking and catering skills, but also her ready smile, warm personality, and tales from her exciting holidays.

We must also say thank you to Lee for his help with Stroke Club and to Dulcie for her supply of delicious cakes and desserts. Our grateful thanks to you all and will keep you in our hearts and prayers. God Bless.

See the picture below with Becky, on the right, and ‘kitchen twin’, Deb.
