Hi everyone!

After surviving the first week back at school (just about! ) we thought you all deserved a proper treat…

Join us this Friday night for a Sound Bath session 🥣🧘🏼‍♀️ – an hour of pure relaxation, lying down doing absolutely nothing while you’re bathed in beautiful, calming sounds. Bliss!

No experience needed – if you can lie still and breathe, you’re already winning ✅

Perfect for anyone feeling a bit stressed, frazzled, or questioning their life choices after a week of packed lunches and homework battles!

Tickets are just £15 and all money raised goes straight to the PFA to help the school ❤️ so you get to relax and feel good about it.

A brilliant night was had by all last night at the Watercolour class that Rosemarie very kindly organised! Naomi taught us all step by step how to create some absolute masterpieces - everyone should be very proud of what was produced!! We had an amazing cheese platter selection, some amazing cakes from Becky and a fabulous couple of hours - really enjoyable way to spend an evening! Hopefully more can make it along to the next one 🎨👩🏼‍🎨

On *Friday 11th October (5.30 -7.30pm)* we invite all St Nicholas children to celebrate together at our Newcomers Disco🥳🪩💃🏼🕺🏻

There will be music, dancing, face-painting and sweet stall for the kids and a bar for those 18+ 🍻🥂

Dear Parents and Friends,

I hope this message finds you well. As the Chair of the PFA, and with the school year drawing to a close, I wanted to take a moment to recognise and celebrate two exceptional volunteers from our community: *_Sarah Hale_* and *_Catherine Norton_*.

Sarah has dedicated four remarkable years as the Chair of the PFA at St Nicholas School. Under her leadership, the school has seen tremendous enhancements, including the addition of new whiteboards, iPads, Chromebooks, and a beautiful Prayer Garden. Sarah has also organised a variety of events and her efforts have significantly enriched the educational experience for both students and teachers.

Similarly, Cath has been a cornerstone of the St Nicholas School community for over 12 years. Cath has shown unwavering dedication through organising the Mother's Day event and actively participating in numerous school activities. Her commitment to supporting the school and fellow parents has made a lasting impact on our community.

As both Sarah and Cath will be leaving the school, it is a fitting time to recognise and celebrate their tremendous contributions. Their efforts have truly made a difference, and we are incredibly fortunate to have had them as part of our community. Let’s all take a moment to appreciate and thank Sarah and Cath for their tireless dedication.

😊PFA MEETING😊

Will be next Tuesday 5th March as advertised, at school, 6pm (for a 6.30pm start latest) until 7.30pm latest.

We genuinely do need as many parents and carers as possible to attend - even if you aren’t able to volunteer, we’d like everyone to give their opinion on how to raise money, where it should be spent and how things should run moving forward.

We are at an impasse with the PFA, where decisions need to be made on how to move forward - quite simply without parent/carer help, we won’t be able to continue raising money at the great pace we have been doing so, so far this academic year!

So - if you saw the poll for attendance on the year group WhatsApp chats, and thought it wasn’t for you, please do come along and see - it’s not about putting loads of time in, it’s about lots of us putting a little bit of time into something that will have a huge impact on our school, and therefore our children - we all know that budgets in education are smaller than ever, so PFA fundraising is needed now more than ever. And as someone wise once said - children are indeed our future/our pension 😜.

With that in mind - we’ll be having a coffee/tea (maybe a cheeky biscuit) before we start - arrival from 6pm, with the meeting to start no later than 6.30pm for a 7.30pm finish.

Throughout December, local schools, pre-schools and nurseries took part in our very first Reindeer Run! 🦌

We’re delighted to share that as a result, they have so far raised over £8,000 to ensure our nurses can continue to deliver specialist end-of-life care. ✨

🎄🕺🪩 Thankyou! 🎄🕺🪩

Thanks you to all the children for attending the Christmas disco last night. After expenses we have raised just shy of £700!

Big thanks to all the volunteers who gave up their time the week before Christmas to make it happen. And a special thanks to Santa for making an appearance!!

Your continued support for all the PFA events is really appreciated, all those pounds add up to support additional school activities and items to enhance the children’s experience.
