This Saturday, as part of Birmingham Heritage Week, we invite you to join us for our Open Day, 10.30am-2pm.

Take a step inside our beautiful church and enjoy the stunning arts and crafts interior, vibrantly decorated with stained glass windows by Sidney Harold Meteyard, a key member of the arts and crafts movement known as the ‘Birmingham Group’.

Learn about our history, from the ‘Iron church’ to our beautiful building today with a curated display, or join in with one of our short, guided tours. Enjoy refreshments, take part in a free trail to hunt for St Peter’s keys or sit back and enjoy (or try out) the sounds of the church organ in all its glory.

Whatever brings you through the doors, be assured of a warm welcome.

Organ Recital - Thomas Howell
Saturday 18th July, 5.30pm

We are thrilled to be welcoming Thomas Howell to St Peter’s this Saturday, 18th July.

Tom studies at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire with support from the MacDonald Foundation. He was Organ Scholar of Chichester Cathedral for 2 years and has served as Parish Organist of English Martyrs RC Church, Sparkhill, since 2022. He is also accompanist to Cantabile D’Eymet (Bergerac, France). He has won numerous awards and his upcoming engagements include Westminster Abbey, Worcester Cathedral and St Martin-Le-Grand, York.

Please do come along, all are welcome. Entry is free but donations welcomed in aid of Voice For Life - the Royal School of Church Music training scheme for young choristers.

We invite you to our popular Afternoon Tea, where you can enjoy good food and friendly company.
This year we will be raising money to support our link mission partner Dr Nicci Maxwell. Nicci is working in South Sudan providing paediatric and neonatal medical care to local and refugee communities, also training and supporting local paediatric teams.
Tickets £12 for adults and £8 for under 12s, available from the church office or from the social committee.
Following the Afternoon Tea, we will be holding an Organ Recital in church, led by Thomas Howell. Further details on this to follow soon!

Congratulations to Fr Aubrey and Annette, who were both ordained in joyful services at Birmingham Cathedral on Saturday.
It was wonderful to celebrate yesterday with Fr Aubrey, after he presided at Holy Communion for the first time.
Please hold both Annette and Fr Aubrey in your prayers as they embark on the next stages of their ministries.

Tomorrow at Birmingham Cathedral, our ordinand Annette will be ordained Deacon and our curate Father Aubrey will be ordained priest.

Annette will be leaving us for pastures new. She will be missed here at St Peter’s but we wish her well.
Father Aubrey will be presiding at our service this Sunday and we will be celebrating afterwards with cake! All are welcome.
Both services will be available to watch on Birmingham Cathedral’s YouTube channel.
