Beautiful flooring begins with the preparation you don’t see. 🏡
This substantial transformation was completed for a Checkatrade customer in Hinckley, with 65m² of wood-effect LVT installed in a classic herringbone pattern throughout the kitchen, dining area and lounge.
Before fitting could begin, the BRF team carried out extensive subfloor preparation. This included carefully preparing over the existing ceramic tiles and installing 6mm flooring-grade plywood in the lounge to create a smooth, stable surface.
The herringbone pattern was then precisely aligned and installed to flow beautifully between the adjoining rooms, creating one cohesive finish throughout the home.
Swipe through to see the preparation, installation and completed transformation.

🌍 An inspiring true story is coming to Sutton Coldfield.
CLOC Musical Theatre Company presents the Sutton Coldfield premiere of Come From Away at Sutton Coldfield Town Hall this autumn.
Set in the small Canadian town of Gander in the days following 11 September 2001, this uplifting musical tells the remarkable true story of how local people welcomed 7,000 stranded passengers after 38 planes were diverted.
A moving celebration of kindness, community and unexpected connections — with an award-winning score inspired by Newfoundland folk and Celtic music.
The cast are already hard at work in rehearsal, and this looks set to be a very special production.

🎭 : LMYT TAKES US DOWN TO HADESTOWN
Ancient myth. A sensational score. And 33 talented young performers ready to take audiences on a journey to the underworld.
This September, Lichfield Musical Youth Theatre heads to the Lichfield Garrick with Hadestown: Teen Edition, bringing one of musical theatre’s most distinctive shows to the city from Wednesday 23rd to Saturday 26th September 2026.
At the heart of Hadestown is one of the oldest love stories of all — that of Orpheus and Eurydice.
Orpheus is a poor musician with an unfinished song who falls for Eurydice, a young woman who has learned not to trust easy promises. But when hunger and hardship lead Eurydice into the underworld and into the hands of Hades, Orpheus follows her.
His music proves powerful enough to move even Hades — but there's a condition attached to their return to the world above. Orpheus must lead Eurydice towards the light without looking back.
It's an ancient story given a very different musical treatment, with a score mixing American folk and blues with the swagger of New Orleans jazz.
And this production is being brought to life by a company with more than four decades of history in the city.
Founded in 1985, Lichfield Musical Youth Theatre is a not-for-profit organisation run entirely by volunteers. Its Hadestown cast features 33 young performers who have been rehearsing since May.
There are some familiar names behind the production too. Richard Poyton directs, following previous LMYT productions including Evita and Chicago. Choreography comes from Jessica Bennett, whose previous LMYT shows include Fame, Six and Chicago, while Oliver Rowe, LMYT's Musical Director and Chairman, takes charge of the score.
From the rehearsal photographs we've been sent, there's already a tremendous sense of movement and energy coming from this young company — and seeing them take on material with this much musical and dramatic weight should be something rather special.
