I know it's only September, but I'm going to dare to mention the C word...

Christmas.

For the last few years, we've knitted angels for our Carols by Candlelight concert, and last year we knitted enough to adorn our new railings as well.

And, overnight, they were all ripped down.

Now, someone might have needed them, for all kinds of reasons, and that's absolutely fine.

However,

There are all kinds of reasons other people need them too.

Therefore, whether you're a seasoned or first time kintter or crocheter (which may not be a word !), we'd love your help in creating enough angels to fill the railings for Carols by Candlelight, probably 11th December, but nothing set yet, and the rest of that month until 25th.

On Tuesday 6th October, Roker URC will be hosting a screening of the National Emergency Briefing, a highly important film highlighting where we are in terms of the Climate.
Doors will be open for refreshments from 5:30, and the screening will commence at 6:30, last for around 50 minutes, and there will be a discussion afterwards.

The Nasturtiums proved a hit, so we're trying something new to see if they work just as well.

As the weather turns colder it's important to start feeding our feathered friends again, so we've made some bird feeders.

Or if you prefer, we've planted some pansy seeds, which still have time to sprout and flower.

Plus, there's information about 2 events we're holding the weekend of 26th September.

Leave us a message, tag us in socials if you take something, and definitely pop in to see us for the Macmillan Coffee Morning on 26th and/ or Messy Church on 27th.
