Bethany City Church We are building a community whose aim is to live and love like Jesus … We meet at the Bede Tower every Sunday at 11am and 6pm. What kind of church are we?

Bethany City Church is a motley crew of Christians and their friends who come together to worship God. During the rest of the week we use a variety of venues including cafés and a local church – flexibility is central to our philosophy of doing church. Join us on a Sunday and you will meet both established Christians and others who are just looking. Some of us have been Christians for years, other

s have just started the journey, and many are not too sure what they believe. We are quite an international crowd – for example, one of our ‘Alpha’ courses included people from ten different nationalities ! We are an independent evangelical church – not affiliated to any of the big denominations – but we have good relationships with local churches of all kinds and we work together regularly on projects that serve the people of our city. We are neither traditional nor wacky; we seek to live and pass on our Christian faith in a way that is relevant to life today.

🍂🌾 WELCOME TO SEPTEMBER — OUR MONTH OF HARVEST! 🌾🍂

“Whatever they do prospers.” — Psalm 1:3

As we step into the month of September, we thank God for a new season and declare it to be our Month of Harvest! 🙏🏽✨

September is a time to believe God for the fruit of every good seed that has been sown — seeds of prayer, faith, obedience, service and perseverance.

Jesus said:

“Whoever remains in Me and I in them will bear much fruit.” — John 15:5

🌾 This month, may you reap a bountiful harvest.
🌾 May every good seed you have sown bear fruit.
🌾 May your prayers produce testimonies.
🌾 May your labour bring forth results.
🌾 May every area of your life flourish by the grace of God.

As we remain rooted in Christ, may September be filled with fruitfulness, abundance, answered prayers and a divine harvest.

Our Story
Founded as part of Bethany City Church in Sunderland, Root66 is serving students from various unuiversities and colleges in the area. Our journey began with a simple idea: to create a supportive communitiy where students can find their spiritual roots, grow in their faith, and share in the joy of fellowship, we hope to see lives transformed and friendships formed as we walk this faith-filled journey together.
