Our wonderful Songster Leader, Lesley Warrington, is taking on the massive challenge of the Great North Run on 13th September for The Salvation Army!

She brings so much joy, music, and energy to our community, and now she’s putting in the miles to support The Salvation Army's work with young people across the North East of England.

As a new academic year begins, our thoughts and prayers are with all parents, children, and teachers as they head back to school! 🎒✏️

Whether you are packing lunchboxes, stepping into a new classroom, or preparing lessons, we are praying for peace, courage, and a wonderful term ahead for you all.

As a church family, we wanted to give our young people a tangible reminder that they never walk alone. Each of our children has been given a tiny pocket Jesus figure along with a special prayer card to take with them.

Whether tucked inside a pencil case, pocket, or school bag, we hope these little figures remind them daily of His love, guidance, and presence wherever they go.

Wishing our whole community a blessed, safe, and exciting new school year! 🙏✨

We made the news! 📰✨

We are thrilled to see our Rutland Street church featured in the Sunderland Echo!

The Echo has highlighted the fantastic work of our Sunday primary group (ages 3–7) and volunteers Sandra and Doreen, who have been hard at work planting flowers, vegetables, and hanging baskets to bring color, life, and wildlife to our building. 🌸🐝

From teaching our youngest members about caring for creation to welcoming new faces who stopped by just to admire the flowers, it’s wonderful to see the local community taking notice.

Look who found Jesus yesterday! 🎉🙌A massive shoutout to Joseph, Shamila, and Rachel, who all found Jesus during our service yesterday! Over the last few weeks, several others have also found Him, though some have kept it a quiet secret—we see you, and we are celebrating with you all!The excitement is already spreading. Yesterday, Rachel was busy making big plans to ensure her housemates find Jesus too when she heads back to uni.

Church isn't always about four walls and turning up on a Sunday morning.

This evening, church looked exactly like this: community, family, laughter*, and enjoying God's creation together on the beach. ❤️🌊✨

Well done to Mj. Eddie who is Millfield's fist Molkky champion!

*community, family and laughter are also things that can be found as we gather to worship inside on Sunday morning too! Sadly we don't allow the sea into out hall.
