Sunday 6th September - Fourteenth after Trinity - Evening Prayer

There are people in politics claiming to be Christians and saying that this is a Christian country. But does what they say and do follow the example of Jesus?

Sunday 6th September - Fourteenth Sunday after Trinity

As Jesus hung on the Cross a strange darkness came over the land lasting for three hours. There's been speculation as to what it was. Was it a dust cloud or was there a more spiritual explanation? At any rate, the darkness ended with the death of Jesus and light was restored. As Christians we're called to leave the darkness in our lives and come into the light, but it's not always easy.

Our Bible passage is Romans Chapter 13 verses 8-14.
