Saint Pope John Paul II Studio Columcille is a design studio that draws from the wonderful religious icons of Desmond M. Kyne.

Studio Columcille is proud to present The religious ikons of Desmond M Kyne. The ikons were originally produced onto glass incorporating a kinetic engraving process that resulted in shimmering light and radiant colours as is seen in butterfly wings. Now we are in the process of digitizing them so that they can be offered to a much wider audience.

The design team are in the final stages before going into production of the Saint John Paul II Ikon. We have seen the first draught run of the greeting cards and are impressed by the quality and faithfulness of the reproduction. The moulding for the picture frames has been chosen and the first of the master print copies have been ordered. There is a building sense of excitement in the studio as the release date gets closer.
