Our friends at Christ Church in Nailsworth have asked us to publicise this week of prayer and special service for them and invited anyone from our congregation to join them.

The 24/7 prayer movement are encouraging churches around the world to take part in a week of global prayer from Sept 6th-Sept 13th. You can read more about that here: https://www.24-7prayer.com/
At Christ Church we are having a week of prayer with the church open at various times throughout the week for private prayer. We are beginning the week with an evening service of praise & prayer on 6th September 6.30-7.30pm. We’d love people from other churches to join us for that hour-long service.

Today is the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation when we're encouraged to pray for our common home.

This year, Pope Leo XIV has selected a theme from Isaiah 2:4. In his message, the Holy Father highlights the links between armed conflict, environmental destruction, and human suffering.

Here are the times of services in all our local catholic churches up until Sunday 5th September. Fr. Eugene will be in Lourdes and we welcome Canon Michael Fitzpatrick who will be visiting us for the next two weekends.
The Parish office in Stroud will be closed from today until the 1st September but the Stonehouse office will be manned for a few hours per week following Maggie's gradual return to work.
